Privacy policy
Raro collects as little as it can: no email, no phone number, no ads and no tracking. Effective October 8, 2026.
What Raro collects
- A random account ID. The first time Raro connects, it creates an anonymous account so your scores can reach the leaderboards. You never give an email, phone number or password.
- Your leaderboard name. The name you choose, or until then a placeholder like "Lucky Otter 42". Other players can see it.
- Your answers, when they're on the list. When your answer matches one on the prompt's list, Raro sends which one it was, so it can count how many players gave it. That record stays with your account for 2 days. After that, only the anonymous totals remain. Anything you type that isn't on the list never leaves your phone.
- Scores and collection stats. Your daily scores (kept for 35 days), your collection's value, how many cards you have, your best streak, and your three best cards, which other players can see when they tap you.
- Card numbers and discoveries. The number on each card you pull, and your name on any answer you were the first to give.
- Leagues. The leagues you start or join, and their names and codes.
- If you sign in with Apple. Apple gives Raro an anonymous identifier for your Apple ID. Raro doesn't ask for your name or email. Raro then keeps a backup of your game (your cards, streak, recent results and settings) so you can restore it on a new phone. Raro also keeps a token from Apple, used only to end Raro's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account.
What stays on your phone
Your full game, your settings and your reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; Raro has no push server.
What Raro doesn't do
- No ads, and no advertising or analytics tools in the app.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
Purchases
Subscriptions and packs are bought through Apple. Raro never sees your payment details. Apple tells the app what you bought so it can unlock it.
Who handles the data
- Supabase runs Raro's database and anonymous sign-in, on servers in the United States.
- Apple handles Sign in with Apple and all payments.
- RevenueCat checks App Store purchases so the app can unlock Raro Pro and packs. It gets an anonymous app ID and what was bought, never your name or payment details.
- Cloudflare hosts raro.lol and counts visits to it with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites.
Deleting your data
In Raro, go to Settings, then Delete account. That removes your account and everything linked to it on Raro's servers: your name, scores, showcase, leagues and backup. The anonymous answer totals stay, because they aren't linked to you. Settings, then Erase progress clears the game on your phone. You can also email team@appcelerator.studio and ask for your data to be deleted.
Children
Raro isn't made for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given Raro personal information, email team@appcelerator.studio and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
